Rahmat Momin was founded with the objective of providing seamless, secure, and cost-effective freight movement for regional and international trade. The company holds the required operating licenses from Afghanistan’s Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation and Ministry of Industry and Commerce, enabling it to provide transportation, transit, and freight-forwarding services. Afghan TIR is a licensed logistics provider authorized by Afghanistan’s Ministry of Transport & Aviation and Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Founded by Nazir Ahmad Rahimi, the company operates under the leadership of CEO Abdul Saboor Rahimi and Vice President Jalil Ahmad. With active branches in Kabul, Herat, and Nimroz, Afghan TIR contributes strong operational coverage at key commercial and border locations. Together, the two companies unite international forwarding knowledge with specialized road-transport capacity, creating one coordinated platform for customers who require dependable end-to-end cargo solutions.

In 2017, Afghan TIR became an official participant in the TIR system, the internationally recognized customs-transit framework administered by the International Road Transport Union (IRU). This capability supports more efficient and secure cross-border transportation by reducing delays and simplifying transit procedures across participating countries.

Fleet and Service Capacity

The group operates and coordinates a broad transport network designed to accommodate different types of commercial cargo. Afghan TIR initially began operations with 30 high-tonnage trailer trucks, with assets valued at approximately USD 900,000. Its licensing and operational establishment involved an initial investment of approximately USD 300,000, supported through a government-guaranteed investment structure.
As of 2021, Afghan TIR’s operational network included 320 contracted high-tonnage trucks, 15 privately owned vehicles, and 80 trucks from its own fleet. These vehicles operate across the Middle East and Central Asia and can support a range of cargo requirements through:

• Tarpaulin and curtain-side trucks
• Container transport
• Refrigerated vehicles for temperature-sensitive shipments
• Flatbed trailers for oversized or project cargo
• Tankers for liquid and bulk cargo
• High-tonnage trailers for large commercial consignments
